Job summary

Fast Pace Health is seeking a Patient Care Specialist to deliver exceptional patient-focused service at the front desk. You will register and discharge patients, collect payments, verify insurance, and maintain accurate records while coordinating with providers and clinical staff.

The role emphasizes teamwork, confidentiality, and a welcoming clinic atmosphere. Ideal candidates bring a high school diploma, CPR certification, and 1+ year of customer service experience in healthcare or urgent care

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with CPR certification.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in urgent care.
• Proficient in basic PC skills and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Greet, register, and discharge patients with excellent customer service.
• Input patient demographics and verify insurance at registration.
• Explain and collect co-pays and deductibles; manage self-pay amounts.
• Verify and update insurance information; stay current on government and commercial plans.
• Coordinate medical records for continuity of care.
• Answer phones politely and maintain patient flow; inform providers of arrivals.
• Assist with back-office tasks and basic clerical duties as needed.
• Complete compliance training and uphold confidentiality and core values.
• Maintain a clean reception area and office environment.
• Help train new staff and support onboarding.
