Job summary

ForMotion Clinic is seeking a Patient Care Specialist to ensure a positive patient experience and smooth clinic operations. You will greet patients, register them, and support clinical and technical staff in a fast-paced orthotics/prosthetics environment.

The role involves handling appointments, verifying demographics and insurance in the EMR, and maintaining accurate patient records. You will contribute to efficient operations while upholding infection control and customer service standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of medical office experience preferred using EMR systems.
• Experience in the healthcare industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients, compile chart information, and support clinical staff.
• Schedule appointments and verify patient demographics, referral source, and insurance in the EMR.
• Maintain complete patient records per company policies.
• Obtain and file insurance cards, IDs and other documents in the EMR as needed.
• Verify benefits, relay payment/billing policies, and collect patient payments.
• Keep patient areas clean and safe; assist with room preparation and infection control.
• Provide行政 support to ensure office efficiency and promote a paperless environment.
• Support marketing efforts to strengthen relationships with local referral sources.
• Maintain professional relationships with patients, referral sources and staff.
• Participate in ongoing training to maintain knowledge of products and processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
