Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator to join our Women''s Care Team. This role focuses on patient registration, documentation for billing, and responsive customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will handle clerical tasks, financial transactions, and patient communications, while maintaining professionalism under stress. Prior medical office experience and strong computer skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
• Ability to relate and work effectively with others.
• Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Prior clerical or medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Registration and pre-registration functions to ensure smooth transitioning of patients.
• Prepare pre-registration packets appropriately for each procedure.
• Ensure copies of appropriate documentation are obtained to facilitate billing and collections.
• Process co-payments and payments; register patients and update medical records.
• Back up all incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate person or department.
• Perform nightly closing procedures for clinic.
• Call patients for pre-registration notification including copays and deductibles.
• Other duties as assigned.
