Job summary

Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator to join the Axis Spine Team. The role involves registration, pre-registration, billing support, and handling patient communications to ensure smooth transitions through procedures.

You will work in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment, providing excellent service while multitasking and maintaining accurate medical records.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
• Ability to relate and work effectively with others.
• Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Prior clerical or medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform registration and pre-registration functions to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Prepare pre-registration packets for each procedure.
• Ensure copies of documentation for billing and collections processes.
• Process co-payments and payments; register patients and update medical records.
• Back up incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate person/department.
• Perform nightly closing procedures for the clinic; call patients for pre-registration notification.
