Northwest Specialty Hospital in Post Falls, ID is seeking a detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator for the Axis Spine Center on a part-time, on-site basis.

You will handle registration, pre-registration, billing support, co-pays, medical records updates, phone coverage, nightly closing procedures, and patient communication. Excellent communication and clerical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
• Ability to relate and work effectively with others.
• Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Prior clerical or medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register and pre-register patients to ensure smooth transitions through services.
• Prepare pre-registration packets for each procedure and collect necessary documentation.
• Process co-payments and payments; update medical records.
• Back up incoming calls and direct to appropriate person/department.
• Perform nightly closing procedures for the clinic; call patients for pre-registration notifications.

Description

Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented, customer service focused, Patient Care Coordinator to join our Axis Spine Team!

**This position is part time**

We need someone with a professional demeanour, can work well under stress/stress situations, will provide great customer service to our patients, and is able to multitask!

In this role, you be responsible perform a variety of medical clerical duties. Some of those duties include registration and pre-registration functions to ensure the smooth transitioning of patients through the services they require; prepare pre-registration packets appropriately for each procedure; ensure that copies of appropriate documentation are obtained to facilitate the billing and collections processes; process co-payments and payments; registered patients and update medical records; back up all incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate person or department; perform nightly closing procedures for clinic; call patients for pre-registration notification including copays and deductibles; and other duties as assigned.
