Job summary

Georgia Urology seeks a Patient Coordinator to support physicians and clinical staff with patient flow and front-desk duties. You will greet patients, check them in/out, and maintain data accuracy across visits and records.

You will verify insurance, collect payments, schedule appointments, and manage NextGen EMR data entry while upholding HIPAA standards and confidentiality throughout daily operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma; some college preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years in a healthcare setting.
• Proficiency with EMR and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients with courtesy and respect.
• Check patients in/out upon arrival or departure.
• Maintain patient data confidentiality throughout transactions.
• Update and file patient records accurately.
• Request and follow up on patient records from referring offices.
• Forward medical records to requesting physicians.
• Schedule patient appointments.
• Verify insurance information and collect payments due.
• Scan data into the NextGen EMR system.
• Check patients in for clinical staff.
• Answer incoming calls and confirm appointments by outbound calls.
• Maintain knowledge of HIPAA compliance and OSHA standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
