Job summary

EssilorLuxottica's South East Eye Group in the metro Atlanta area seeks a Patient Care Coordinator to manage daily front-desk activities, coordinate patients and physicians, and ensure an exceptional patient experience.

You will schedule appointments, verify benefits, protect patient confidentiality, and support practice operations. Weekend/evening shifts may be required; benefits include health care, retirement savings, paid time off, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• 2+ years of office experience in a healthcare setting.
• Strong customer service skills (internal and external).
• Strong communicator and listener.
• Problem solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients without delay.
• Promptly answers the telephone in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Schedules appointments in person or by phone to optimize satisfaction and provider time.
• Keeps patient appointments on schedule and notifies providers of delays.
• Facilitates reminder calls for appointment confirmations and order pickups.
• Maintains confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information (HIPAA).
• Determines medical and vision insurance eligibility per current plan.
• Maintains office systems and a safe working environment.
• Adheres to attendance, dress code, and timekeeping requirements.
• Performs other administrative tasks as assigned.
