Job summary

Precision Rehabilitation & Orthopedic Physical Therapy is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to greet patients, schedule initial evaluations and follow-ups, and maintain front-office operations. You will handle insurance verification, copays, and patient records while using EHR systems with HIPAA compliance.

The role requires strong multitasking, organization, and excellent customer service, with attention to detail and the ability to work in a busy clinic environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of experience as a Medical Receptionist or similar role in healthcare.
• Basic computer skills in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner and provide assistance as needed.
• Check in patients, verify insurance coverage and collect copayments as needed.
• Schedule follow-up appointments for patients.
• Distribute/collect forms and assist patients with completing them when needed.
• Document changes in medical schedules in records when necessary.
• Answer and transfer incoming calls and provide information to callers.
• Update referring clinics and Workers' Compensation carriers with progress reports.
• Manage prescription log in Dashboard and maintain patient records with HIPAA compliance.
