Job summary

The Vascular Experts in Darien, CT, seeks a Patient Coordinator / Medical Assistant to support clinical and administrative front desk operations. You will open the office, greet patients, check in and collect copays, and coordinate patient flow with EMR and scheduling.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, at least one year of medical office experience, strong customer service, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced practice while maintaining patient confidentiality under HIPAA.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 1 year of medical office and customer service experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Open the office at designated time and ensure front desk readiness.
• Greet patients, identify visitors, and obtain needed information.
• Check in patients and collect copays; receive payments and reconcile deposits.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage patient flow.
• Scan and file documents, communicate via EMR and email.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain referrals.
• Triage phone calls and messages; maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA.
