The Vascular Experts in Darien, CT is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and advanced practice providers in a fast-paced surgical practice. The MA blends clinical and administrative tasks, including charting and patient care, to ensure smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• Incumbent must possess a minimum of a high school diploma, (or GED) and two (2) years of prior experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft, data entry and other business office system is preferred.
• CMA/RMA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients from waiting room to examination rooms; provides examination apparel.
• Manage and track patient flow through the office.
• Documents all necessary patient information in the EMR including vital signs, medications, allergies, PCP, etc.
• Triage phone calls, messages, and prescription refill requests.
• Performs clinical tasks such as dressing changes, wound care, and suture/staple removal.
• Records and updates information in patient records for compliance.
• Turns over exam rooms and equipment efficiently and cleanly.
• Performs clerical work related to patient care and organizes patient charts.
• Monitors and orders inventory of exam room supplies.
• Maintains OSHA-compliant safety and HIPAA confidentiality.
• Performs other duties as assigned by a Manager or TVE executive.
