Job summary

Akumin is seeking a Patient Coordinator at our Winter Haven facility to deliver excellent patient service and ensure smooth registration and scheduling processes. You will greet patients, verify insurance, collect time-of-service payments, and help navigate pre- and post-procedure instructions with accuracy and empathy.

This is a full-time role requiring a High School Diploma, CPR certification, and the ability to travel between site locations as needed.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
CPR Certification must be obtained prior to hire.
Valid state driver's license may be required.
Ability to work at several locations as needed.
Strong customer service and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

Greets and assists patients, customers and visitors in person and over the phone.
Perform patient registration in various systems and verify insurance.
Answer phone calls professionally and courteously.
May collect monies for time-of-service patient responsibility.
Provide pre- and post-procedure instructions to patients.
