Akumin is hiring a Patient Coordinator at the Winter Haven facility for a full-time role. You will greet patients, register them in systems, verify insurance, and answer calls while ensuring clear patient communication and accurate records.

The position requires CPR where applicable and a valid driver's license for travel between sites. Responsibilities include document management, scheduling, and supporting clinical staff with patient flow and data entry in electronic systems, all while

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification required prior to hire for mobile radiology.
• Valid state driver’s license may be required.
• Ability to work at multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, customers and visitors in person and over the phone.
• Perform patient registration in systems and verify insurance.
• Answer phone calls professionally and courteously.
• Collect payments for time-of-service responsibilities when applicable.
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient visits and HIPAA compliance.
• Schedule patient appointments and prepare records for physicians.
