Akumin is hiring a Patient Coordinator at our Rowlett facility for a full-time role. You will greet and screen patients, transport them to the scanner, and ensure all paperwork and films are organized.

You will provide patients with expected exam reporting timelines and contact information for questions. Responsibilities include assisting with transfers, entering patient and exam data into Alliance PLE and MIS systems, preparing patient film packets for technologist review, and aiding in daily

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
• CPR Certification required.
• As applicable, valid state driver's license required.
• Ability to work at several locations required.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.
• Local travel may be required.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Greets, screens, and safely transports patients to the scan control room and returns them when done.
• Performs and/or assists patient transfer on/off the table, ensures patient comfort.
• Enters accurate patient, physician, and exam information into the Alliance PLE system and MIS systems.
• Assists technologist with paperwork and prepares patient package of films and paperwork for review.
• Orders supplies, cleans unit, and assists in daily transport preparation.
