AEG Vision in Commerce City, CO is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to support front desk operations, patient flow, and schedule optimization. You will coordinate across the care team to deliver a seamless patient experience.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to proactively manage schedules while maintaining patient confidentiality and high-quality service for every patient.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to learn practice management systems (EMR).
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with a focus on patient-centered service.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Ability to proactively identify issues and contribute to solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to maintain patient and practice confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, customers, and vendors; primary contact for patient interactions.
• Answer calls, respond to inquiries, and manage emails promptly.
• Schedule appointments and optimize provider schedules; manage cancellations and refills.
• Execute appointment confirmations and reminders to reduce no-shows.
• Verify insurance eligibility and demographics in EMR; maintain data accuracy.
• Communicate coverage, benefits, and patient financial responsibility clearly.
• Prepare patient charts and documentation before visits for smooth flow.
• Enter charges and collect payments; support billing and reconciliation.
• Run reports to ensure charges are billed and up to date.
• Monitor daily patient flow and provider schedules; adjust as needed.
• Communicate wait times and next steps to maintain a positive experience.
• Coordinate with clinical and optical teams for seamless care transitions.
• Support recall and reactivation outreach for annual and medically necessary visits.
• Maintain an organized, clean front desk environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Practice Manager / Optometrist.
