Responsibilities

• Greet patients and serve as primary contact for interactions.
• Answer calls, respond to inquiries, manage email and digital communications.
• Schedule appointments and optimize provider calendars.
• Send confirmations and reminders to reduce no-shows.
• Verify insurance eligibility and enter patient demographics in EMR.
• Explain coverage and patient financial responsibility.
• Prepare patient charts and documentation ahead of visits.
• Record charges, co-pays, and payments in EMR; track balances.
• Run reports to ensure charges are billed and up to date.
• Monitor patient flow and adjust schedules as needed.
• Communicate wait times and next steps to patients.
• Coordinate with clinical and optical teams for transitions.
• Support retention via follow-up and recall activities.
• Maintain an organized front office environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
