Job summary

Akumin Mesquite is hiring a Patient Coordinator to greet patients, perform registration in multiple systems, answer calls, collect patient responsibilities, verify insurance, and schedule appointments. You will maintain accurate patient records, provide pre/post-procedure instructions, and support HIPAA-compliant communication while coordinating with the clinical team across locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR Certification must be obtained prior to hire for Mobile Radiology; CPR Certification is a plus for Fixed Radiology.
• Valid state driver's license may be required.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Local travel may be required.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, customers, and visitors in person and over the phone.
• Perform patient registration in various systems and verify insurance coverage/authorization.
• Answer calls professionally and collect patient time-of-service payments when applicable.
• Provide patient with preliminary and post-procedure instructions and schedule appointments.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation; ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Assist clinical staff with documentation and image delivery as needed.
