Job summary

Akumin Hollywood Facility seeks a Part-time Patient Coordinator to greet patients, register them, answer calls, and assist in coordinating care. The role supports documentation, insurance verification, and pre/post-procedure instructions, while maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
• CPR certification may be required prior to hire for mobile radiology/oncology.
• Valid state driver's license may be required.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, customers and visitors in person and over the phone.
• Register patients in various systems.
• Answer phone calls professionally and courteously.
• May collect payments for time-of-service patient responsibility.
• May verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorization.
• Schedule patient appointments and ensure documentation is accurate.
• Maintain clean and organized work area and ensure supplies are stocked.
• Support documentation and image delivery to physicians or clients.
