Job summary

Providence Jobs in Portland area is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, delivering excellent service and coordinating between patients and care teams. The role includes scheduling, registration, and insurance verification within the EPIC EMR system.

The position supports multiple clinics in Primary and Specialty Care with shift options typically 8 or 10 hours and no weekend work.

Qualifications

1 year of experience in medical/healthcare setting.
Experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast paced environment, including handling confidential data with discretion.
Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience.

Responsibilities

Serve as the first point of contact, providing exceptional customer service to patients and visitors in person and by phone.
Act as a liaison between patients, providers, and care teams to ensure a smooth patient experience.
Perform front and back-office duties, including scheduling, registration, insurance verification, updating demographic information and patient support.
Maintain clinic efficiency through accurate documentation and adherence to workflows within the electronic medical record (EPIC).
Demonstrate growth and proficiency in supporting Providence’s mission of compassionate, high-quality care.
