Job summary

Tucson Plastic Surgery is expanding and seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to act as the central liaison between patients, surgeons, and the clinical team. You will guide patients from initial consultation to post-operative care, conduct consultations, lead intakes, and present surgical plans and pricing with empathy and accuracy.

In this role, you will schedule surgeries, coordinate pre/post-operative care, maintain impeccable documentation, and uphold HIPAA standards while delivering

Qualifications

  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited institution.
  • 3+ years of patient care experience, preferably in a physician's office or small clinic setting; plastic surgery/aesthetics a plus.
  • Proficiency in EMR systems (Mod Med preferred) and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients and ensure a warm, exemplary patient experience.
  • Conduct preliminary consultations and complete patient charting for the surgeon.

Job description

Our client, Tucson Plastic Surgery is adding a Patient Care Coordinator to their incredible team as the practice continues to expand in its new state-of-the-art plastic surgery office, ambulatory surgery center, and wellness center, delivering a concierge-level, five-star patient experience.

As a Patient Care Coordinator, you are the central liaison between the patient, their surgeon, and the clinical team. You are a trusted advisor, educator, and advocate who guides each patient through their full aesthetic and surgical journey, from initial consultation to post-operative care. You will conduct preliminary consultations and lead patient intakes, offer guidance, explain procedures, answer questions, present surgical plans and pricing, schedule surgeries, interface with the patients’ families, follow up, and share pre- and post-operative instructions.

What You’ll Do:

The Patient Care Coordinator acts as the point of contact and practice liaison guiding patients through their surgical and aftercare experiences. Through hands-on training, you will become well-versed in all the products, procedures, and services offered, bringing an understanding of aesthetic and surgical processes and terminology to guide patients with confidence by providing timely and accurate information each step of the way.

  • Welcome new and existing patients, ensuring every visit reflects a warm, exemplary patient experience
  • Conduct preliminary consultations, reviewing patient goals and health history, and provide a seamless handoff - including fully complete patient charting and documentation- to the surgeon
  • Explain surgical procedures, recovery expectations, and pre-/post-operative care in detail,
  • Schedule and coordinate patient surgeries, pre-operative appointments, and post-operative follow-up care with TPS providers
  • Coordinate the scheduling for combined procedures with outside surgical providers, ensuring
  • Assist with implant and surgical supplies ordering to support clinic operations
  • Uphold strict HIPAA compliance, safeguarding confidentiality and aligning with the practice’s vision and service standards
  • Maintain open, collaborative communication with the front office, clinical team, and physicians to ensure continuity of care

  • $25-30/hour basedon experience and proficiency
  • Full-time opportunity, in-office, M-F 8:30 am-5:00 pm, no evenings, weekends, or on-call

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of patient care experience, preferably in a physician's office or small clinic setting; plastic surgery and/or aesthetics a plus
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited institution

  • Critical thinking abilities to analyze situations and develop/propose appropriate solutions
