Job summary

Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare is seeking a Unit Coordinator to assist unit leadership with coordinating patient care services, information flow, and resource access. You will support physicians and clinicians with first-level system support and ensure HIPAA-compliant handling of records.

The role requires no formal education, with preferred experience in administrative or clerical work and strong MS Office/EMR familiarity.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• HIPAA privacy and security regulations compliance required.
• Proficient data entry and MS Office use; EMR experience preferred.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication with medical staff, patients and visitors.
• Ability to handle basic office equipment and multi-line phones.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service support to patients, families and guests; relay information and assist with concerns.
• Support accurate use of medical record forms and documentation.
• Process orders and coordinate Patient Care Services.
• Assist with coordination of Unit operations and patient care logistics.
• Provide online tools support and general unit coordination.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
