Highlights of Patient Care Coordinator Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Schedule and manage patient appointments
- Handle patient inquiries regarding services, insurance, and billing
- Verify and process patients’ dental insurance
- Review treatment plans, insurance, and out-of-pocket costs with patients
- Collect patients’ co-insurance at time of service and after service when necessary
- Enter patient information accurately into practice management software
- Coordinate appointments and dental record transfers with referring practices
- Maintain a clean and organized reception and waiting area
- Collaborate with clinical staff and doctors to ensure seamless patient care
- Verify dental insurance benefits and eligibility as needed
- Submit and monitor dental insurance claims for prompt reimbursement
- Review outstanding insurance claims and follow up with insurance carriers to resolve delays, denials, and payment discrepancies
- Post insurance payments and patient payments accurately and efficiently
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, insurance regulations, and office policies
This is a full‑time Patient Care Coordinator position with a schedule of: Tuesday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

QualificationsPatient Care Coordinator Qualifications
- Proficiency with dental software
- Knowledge of dental insurance plans, claims processing, EOBs, and CDT coding
- Minimum of two (2) years of dental Patient Care Coordinator or administrative experience is required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of dental insurance & billing and healthcare policies (HIPAA)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Reliability and punctuality
