Job summary

Lowcountry Therapy Group is seeking a compassionate, organized Patient Care Coordinator to join our pediatric therapy team. You will be the first point of contact for patients and families, coordinating scheduling, intake, insurance verification, and day-to-day administrative tasks.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced setting, and demonstrates excellent communication with families and therapists.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years in an administrative or receptionist role.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
• Ability to work evenings until 6:30pm, potential for Fridays off.
• Scheduling experience in a medical environment is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Drive.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and families while coordinating scheduling, patient intake, insurance verification, and daily administrative operations. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will:

• Welcome patients and families with a friendly, professional, and caring attitude.
• Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments to maximize therapist schedules.
• Coordinate new patient intake, collect required documentation, and maintain accurate patient records.
• Verify insurance benefits and obtain authorizations as needed.
• Answer incoming phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Process patient payments and maintain accurate financial records.
• Communicate effectively with therapists, families, and team members regarding scheduling and patient needs.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA and company policies.
• Assist with general administrative tasks to support the daily operations of the clinic.

Requirements

• HS diploma or G.E.D. required
