Optum’s Bethpage location is hiring an Associate Patient Care Coordinator to support front-office tasks and care coordination. You will verify insurance, collect signatures, manage records, and schedule appointments in a fast-paced setting.

Required: high school diploma, 1+ year healthcare/customer service background, and proficiency with Outlook/Excel/Word. Travel to other sites may be needed. Benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 1+ years of customer service or healthcare experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Ability to travel to other locations for coverage.

Responsibilities

• Obtain accurate and updated patient information (name, address, insurance).
• Perform insurance verification on the date of service.
• Obtain patient signatures for required documents.
• File, fax and maintain medical records.
• Check in/check out patients; schedule appointments.
• Coordinate referrals and communicate with care team.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA.
