Optum in New Paltz, NY is seeking an Associate Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. This role will support patients by verifying insurance, scheduling appointments, and coordinating care with the multidisciplinary staff.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of healthcare or customer service experience, solid computer skills, and a willingness to travel to other offices as needed. This is a 40-hour, Monday–Friday position with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of computer proficiency experience (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word).
• 1+ years of customer or healthcare related experience.
• Ability to travel to other offices if needed.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and family members with a friendly/professional demeanor.
• Verify patient information and insurance details.
• Perform insurance verification on the date of service.
• Schedule appointments and procedures in an organized, efficient manner.
• Answer incoming/outgoing calls promptly and courteously.
• Maintain and track patient referrals and follow-up actions.
• Check In/Check Out patients and ensure accurate documentation.
• Coordinate with care team to plan and implement care per Plan of Care.
• Adhere to HIPAA and OSHA requirements and organizational policies.
• Support other locations as needed.
