Job summary

Springfield Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Patient Care Services Coordinator to support patient scheduling, coordinate with healthcare providers, and communicate with insurance companies to ensure smooth, efficient service.

You will work across multiple hospital locations, including the infusion clinic, inpatient unit, care management, and emergency department, delivering compassionate patient care and ensuring needs are met promptly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree (preferred).
• Hospital and/or nursing home affiliation (preferred).
• Insurance and prior authorization knowledge (preferred).
• Experience with electronic medical records systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of emotional intelligence and autonomy.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments and coordinate with providers.
• Communicate with health insurers to obtain authorizations and resolve issues.
• Oversee patient support activities to ensure needs are met efficiently.
• Work across infusion clinic, inpatient unit, care management, and ED to support patient care.
