Solis Mammography in Willow Grove, PA is seeking a Patient Service Representative to be the first point of contact for patients, handling registrations, appointments, and payments with accuracy and confidentiality.

Role emphasizes patient care, team collaboration, and adherence to front office policies; requires prior healthcare registration or customer service experience and basic Excel/RIS familiarity.

Qualifications

• Two years of healthcare registration or customer service experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cash handling.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology, preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but sometimes complex written or oral instructions.
• Ability to perform basic mathematic calculations; ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of RIS software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in a professional and friendly manner and act as the first point of contact.
• Register patients with demographic and insurance information in the RIS and verify accuracy of existing information.
• Explain forms to patients and assist with completion, by paper or tablet.
• Process paperwork and maintain confidentiality; link to patient records.
• Collect patient payments and explain benefits from insurance verification when necessary.
• Prepare paperwork for future appointments and follow up on outstanding requests.
• Schedule and reschedule patients; generate daily invoice journal and reconcile payments.
