Akumin is seeking a Patient Coordinator for our Northeast facility in Philadelphia, PA. This PRN, part-time role focuses on delivering excellent patient-focused service, accurate registration, and clear communication about procedures and expectations.

The candidate will support registration, insurance verification, and documentation while assisting clinical staff and maintaining organized records in a mobile radiology/OP settings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
• For Mobile Radiology and Oncology, CPR Certification must be obtained prior to hire.
• As applicable, valid state driver's license required.
• Ability to work at several locations required.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.
• All candidates will complete a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Responsabilités

• Greets and assists patients, customers and visitors in person and over the phone.
• Performs patient registration in various systems.
• Answers all phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
• Collects monies for time-of-service patient responsibility.
• May verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorization.
• May perform preliminary screening of patients prior to procedures.
• May transport patient to/from the exam room and assist in patient transfer.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly stock supplies.
• Ensure accuracy of patient records and documentation in systems.
