Key-Whitman Eye Center is seeking a Patient Care Representative for the South Arlington location. You will manage front desk operations, greet patients, collect data, verify information, and schedule appointments to ensure smooth patient flow and excellent care.

You will maintain EMR documentation, direct visitors, and support daily accounting controls while upholding our standards of service and privacy in a fast-paced ophthalmology practice.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1-3 years of healthcare reception experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and time management.
• CPR desired, but not required.
• HIPAA knowledge and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients at the office in a friendly and professional manner.
• Collects and verifies patient data for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintains a highly accountable and inspired work environment with exceptional customer service and patient care.
• Checks patients in and out and schedules appointments.
• Directs patients, vendors, visitors, and the public as appropriate.
• Maintains documentation in the EMR.
• Faxes and requests faxes of patient chart notes from satellite offices.
• Monitors patient flow and wait times.
• Opens daily patient accounting controls, posts charges and closes controls.
• Schedules future appointments per policies.
• Maintain waiting room environment, appearance, and patient comfort.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
