Orchid Health is seeking a front desk / patient service position at our Fern Ridge Clinic near Elmira, Oregon. The role supports patient check-in, insurance verification, intake documentation, scheduling, and basic administrative tasks in a small team environment.

You will greet patients, collect payments, and ensure accurate EHR documentation while upholding HIPAA and patient privacy. A positive, caring approach and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Preferred: English-Spanish bilingual.
• Experience with medical office software is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Verify insurance information, scrub for missing data, and prepare documents before opening.
• Warmly greet patients as they check in for appointments.
• Collect and record intake paperwork and copays.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and direct questions to medical staff as needed.
• Handle faxes and upload documents to the EHR system.
• Respond calmly to healthcare crises and involve supervisors when needed.
• Participate in community events and clinic outreach activities.
• Present the clinic positively to the community at all times.
• Maintain PHI/HIPAA privacy and professional boundaries in the community.
• Perform nightly cleaning of the waiting area and keep materials stocked.
