Job summary

Concentra, Inc. in Addison, TX, seeks a Patient Coordinator to support patient and provider workflows from our US operations. Working from guidelines, you assign medical necessity requests to reviewers and monitor timely determinations.

You will communicate with customers and physicians, verify information, assign cases by specialty and licensure, review determinations for accuracy, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of college preferred.
• Medical Assistant or Medical Records certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with customers and physician advisors and tracks cases to ensure completion within established time requirements.
• Reviews physician review requests to ensure information is complete and contacts customer if additional information is needed.
• Assigns cases to appropriate/qualified physician advisor based on specialty, experience, and licensure requirements.
• Upon receipt of completed determination, reviews for errors and ensures questions are addressed before releasing to the customer.
• Ensures a case is completed and returned to the customer by the promised return date.
• Works assigned physician review and communications queues.
• Seeks assistance from more experienced PRC or Supervisor for troublesome cases.
• Responds to customer or provider complaints and refers to Supervisor/QA Manager/Director as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
