Qualifications

• One year's current experience with insurance billing and/or medical collection and medical terminology.
• Clear written and spoken English; ability to write legibly and record information accurately.
• Associates Degree preferred or medical trade training.

Responsibilities

• Verifies insurance and communicates with carriers for reimbursement.
• Performs daily close out procedures for cash balancing and internal controls.
• Maintains knowledge of co-pays/deductibles and workers' compensation protocols for accurate billing.
• Maintains professional communication to promote customer satisfaction.
• Knows corporate policies related to clinic operations.
• Answers phones and directs messages to maintain workflow.
• Keeps files and records neat and confidential for smooth operations.
• Inputs demographic and medical data, collects fees, and assists financial counseling when appropriate.
• Fulfills other duties as assigned by Clinic Manager.
• Completes assigned goals.
