Yale New Haven Health is seeking a Patient Care Associate to support nursing staff and participate in direct and indirect patient care under supervision. You will assist with vital signs, basic procedures, and data collection to contribute to comprehensive patient care.

The role emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered service, teamwork, and effective communication with patients, families, and staff across units in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, peers, and supervisors.
• Ability to prioritize and adjust work plans based on patient/unit needs.
• Ability to accept direction and work as part of a unified team.

Responsabilités

• Under the supervision of the Clinical Nurse, engages in tasks to assist nurse assessment, planning and evaluation.
• Obtains and records vital signs as delegated by the RN.
• Obtains a 12-lead ECG and continuous Lead II with correct patient information.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team to address patient/family needs and deliver safe care.
