Job summary

Cooley Dickinson Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Associate to provide direct and non-direct patient care, along with clerical and supply duties in a 36-hour weekly schedule. The position includes 7am-7:30pm shifts and supports telemetry in the Critical Care unit, reporting to the Nurse Manager within the 1199SEIU Bargaining Unit.

Must interact well with diverse patients and teams. Required are a high school diploma or equivalent, current BLS certification, and nursing assistant or medical

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant certification, or nursing student with 6 months clinical experience.
• Six months to one year nursing assistant experience required.
• Health care experience preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of direct and non-direct patient care duties, including routine patient care, clerical, supply and messenger tasks.
• May function as patient care observer for safety during 1:1 monitoring as needed.
• Coordinate with licensed nursing personnel to deliver patient care and support unit operations.
