Mercy is hiring a Patient Care Associate/Patient Care Technician for the 7A department in Missouri. The role supports individualized patient care under RN/LPN supervision, with both full- and part-time night shifts. A 175-hour apprenticeship program is offered, plus a 90-day training within orientation for new hires.

BLS within one month is required. Responsibilities include vital signs, assisting with meals and mobility, and basic procedures as the care team progresses through career ladders to

Competenze

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; CNA/CPTC or in healthcare program, or Mercy co-worker.
• Experience: None required.
• Physical requirements: lift 50 pounds, stand/walk long shifts, stoop/kneel/squat.

Mansioni

• Obtain vital signs and document in EMR.
• Assist with patient care: meals, bathing, dressing, mobility, transport.
• Provide non-clinical support tasks as part of the care team.
• Advance through career ladder to PCA or PCT roles, including phlebotomy and wound care as assigned.
• Complete required PCA training and BLS within specified timelines.
