Mercy is seeking a Patient Care Associate/Patient Care Technician to assist in individualized patient care under the direction of the RN or LPN in Springfield, MO. Training is provided through a Department of Labor Apprenticeship program with pathways to advancement.

Full- and part-time positions are available; the job includes vital signs, patient assistance, and potential duties such as phlebotomy, enteral feeding, wound care, and more. A comprehensive benefits package accompanies the role.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, G.E.D, CNA/CPTC or enrolled in a healthcare career program.
• Experience: None required.
• Minimum Physical Requirements: lift 50 pounds, stand/walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs and document into the EMR.
• Assist with meals, bathing, toileting, ambulation, mobility, and transport.
• Clerical support duties as needed.
• PCT duties: phlebotomy, enteral feeding, wound care, IV/Foley removal, trach care.
