Job summary

Mercy offers a Patient Care Associate/Patient Care Technician role in the 6C Neurology department. Under RN/LPN direction, you assist in patient care to promote wellness and participate in an apprenticeship program for career growth.

This role provides full or part-time hours, a sign-on bonus up to 1,500 dollars, and Mercy benefits including health, dental and vision coverage after day one. Training, safety, and upward mobility are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED; CNA/CPTC preferred or enrolled in a healthcare program.
• Experience: None required; benefitting from prior healthcare exposure.
• Physical: Ability to push/pull/lift 50 pounds and stand/walk for shifts.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs and document into the EMR.
• Assist with meals, bathing, toileting, mobility, and transport.
• Provide clerical support as needed.
• PCA path: support patient care; PCT path: phlebotomy, wound care, feeding, IV/ Foley removal, trach care.
