Mercy Health seeks a Health Care Associate in Warren, OH for part-time, 24 weekly hours to provide direct patient care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. You will support daily activities and documentation while collaborating with the care team in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Nursing aide training completion or STNA/CNA state testing, or equivalent nursing program with clinical rotation.
• BLS Basic Life Support preferred; must obtain prior to direct patient care.
• Recent experience in acute care, home health, hospice or long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care including vital signs, hygiene, mobility assistance.
• Serve as liaison between patient and nurse, reporting changes or concerns.
• Deliver high-level customer service to patients, families, visitors and staff.
• Document patient care accurately and timely; participate in hand-offs.
• Assist with mobility and activities of daily living; use transfer techniques.
