Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Health Care Associate for the Med Surg Telemetry Unit at St. Joseph Warren Hospital. The role includes direct patient care under RN supervision and accurate documentation in EPIC EHR.

Preferred candidates have recent acute care experience, BLS certification, and nursing aide training. The position is part-time with 24 hours weekly and rotating day/night shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in acute care, physician’s office, home health/hospice, or long-term care facility (preferred).
• BLS Basic Life Support approved by American Heart Association (preferred upon hire).
• Successful completion of nursing aide training program or equivalent required for OH LTC eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN guidance.
• Report changes and concerns to the nurse in charge.
• Document care accurately and timely in patient records.
