Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Ohio is seeking a part-time patient care assistant to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Shifts run 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with every third weekend and alternating holidays.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• BLS basics preferred; nursing student with first clinical rotation complete or state testing complete.
• Ability to communicate clearly with care team and patients.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic patient care including comfort, vitals, personal care, and mobility.
• Acts as liaison between patient and nurse and reports changes promptly.
• Delivers high level customer service to patients, families, visitors and staff.
• Documents patient care accurately and timely.
