Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a medical assistant/patient care assistant program with venipuncture and EKG skills.
• Interpersonal and collaborative communication within the Specialty Service.
• Documentation of Medical Assistant/Patient Care Associate training.
• Healthcare experience 3–9 months preferred.
• Ability to prioritize, problem solve, and stay flexible.
• Sufficient oral and written English communication.
• Physical stamina and manual dexterity.
• CPR/HeartSaver or BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with patient care activities and daily living tasks.
• Record vital signs and intake/output data.
• Prepare procedures and assist with clinical tasks.
• Transport patients and deliver meals and supplies as needed.
• Maintain safe, clean, and functional environment; observe isolation status when required.
• Participate in department performance improvement and training.
