Job summary

Mercy Health in Lorain, OH is seeking a Patient Care Associate for Med Surg 4W at Lorain Hospital. This full-time role provides direct patient care under RN supervision, supports basic care tasks, and communicates changes to the nursing team. EPIC EHR experience is preferred, with BLS encouraged.

Qualifications

• Licensure via nursing aide training or PCA/PCT path.
• Recent experience in acute care or similar settings preferred.
• Basic life support or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN guidance.
• Record vital signs and assist with daily living activities.
• Communicate changes to nurses and document care accurately.
• Support patient and family with compassionate service.
• Assist with mobility and transfer of patients as trained.
• Participate in hand-off reports and data collection.
