Job summary

Mount Sinai Morningside is seeking a Patient Care Associate to support the clinical care team. You will assist the registered nurse with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and vital signs, while ensuring a safe and clean environment for patients.

You will be involved in patient transport, data recording, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to promote high-quality care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Certificate of completion of Medical Assistant/Patient Care Assistant program/equivalent with venipuncture and EKG skills.
• Interpersonal skills to communicate and collaborate effectively with other members of the Specialty Service.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with patient care, activities of daily living, and admission/transfer/discharge processes.
• Record and monitor vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature) and report changes.
• Assist with specimen collection, including venipuncture and EKG procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and transport patients as needed.
• Respond to patient calls and provide information to patients and families.
