Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Patient Care Associate to support the clinical care team in the Specialty Service. You will assist with activities of daily living, collect specimens, and help maintain a safe, clean hospital environment.

You will also record vital signs, assist with procedures, and support communication among care teams while ensuring patient dignity and confidentiality in a dynamic care setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical assistant/patient care assistant program with venipuncture and EKG skills.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities within the Specialty Service.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and mobility under RN supervision.
• Take and record vital signs (BP, pulse, temp) and document data as assigned.
• Support nurses with clinical procedures and preparation for tests or treatments.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and ensure proper isolation and infection control.

Education

High School Diploma

Certificate of completion of a medical assistant/patient care assistant program/equivalent with skills in venipuncture and EKG

Interpersonal skills to communicate and collaborate effectively with other members of the Specialty Service
