Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience: None required.
• Mercy provides a 175-hour training program within 90 days of hire for new HC positions.
• Certifications: BLS required within 1 month of hire; PCA competencies within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the RN or LPN, assists in individualized patient care to promote wellness.
• Works as part of a team; supports designated clinical and non-clinical tasks to provide care.
• Performs designated procedures and supports tasks essential to patient care.
• Meets the physical requirements and maintains patient safety during duties.
