Qualifications

• High School Diploma (graduate or equivalent).
• Completion of medical assistant/patient care assistant program with venipuncture and EKG skills.
• Interpersonal skills to communicate and collaborate with Specialty Service colleagues.
• Documentation of Medical Assistant/Patient Care Associate training.
• Three to nine months of healthcare experience preferred.
• Ability to set priorities, problem solve, and be flexible.
• Sufficient oral and writing skills in English.
• Physical stamina and manual dexterity.
• American Heart Association Heartsaver or BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with patient care and activities of daily living.
• Record vital signs and document intake/output.
• Transport patients and manage bedside supplies.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and isolation status as directed.
