Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification in Medical Assistant/Patient Care Assistant with venipuncture and EKG skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities in English.
• Documentation of Medical Assistant/Patient Care Associate training.
• 3–9 months of healthcare experience preferred.
• Ability to prioritize, problem solve and remain flexible in a clinical setting.
• Physical stamina and manual dexterity for patient care tasks.
• American Heart Association Heartsaver or BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with patient care activities and daily living tasks.
• Record vital signs and document intake/output as assigned.
• Assist with specimens collection, EKGs, and other procedures.
• Transport patients and assist with mobility and orientation.
• Deliver meals, trays, and assist with dietary needs.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and report issues promptly.
• Support discharge processes and update relevant logs and systems.
• Communicate professionally with patients, families and staff.
