Job summary

Mercy Hospital Washington is seeking a Patient Care Associate (PCA) to join our Cardiac Telemetry team. You will work under the direction of RNs and LPNs to provide patient-centered care in a fast-paced 35-bed unit, with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio.

Join a collaborative team and participate in an accredited Department of Labor Apprenticeship Program with a 175-hour orientation. Training is provided, and BLS is required within one month of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CNA/CPTC or healthcare program enrollment preferred.
• No prior healthcare experience required; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Take and document vital signs in EMR.
• Assist patients with meals, bathing, toileting, mobility, and transport.
• Provide clerical support as needed.
• Growth path to PCT with phlebotomy, wound care, IV care and catheter care.
