Job summary

Mercy Hospital Washington is seeking a Patient Care Associate (PCA) to work under the direction of RNs/LPNs, delivering personalized care to patients in the Cardiac Telemetry unit. This part-time night shift offers hands-on training and growth opportunities within a 35-bed unit.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, assisting with meals, bathing, mobility and transport, and providing clerical support as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or enrollment in healthcare programs.
• No prior experience required; we provide full training and BLS within one month.
• Ability to lift/push 50 lbs, stand and walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Take and document vital signs in electronic medical records.
• Assist patients with meals, bathing, toileting, mobility, and transport.
• Provide clerical support as needed.
• Growth path to PCT with phlebotomy, wound care, enteral feeding, IVs and catheter removal.
• Trach care and suctioning as part of expanded PCA duties.
