Job summary

Mercy Hospital Washington is seeking a Part-Time Patient Care Associate (PCA) to join the Cardiac Telemetry team. You will work 24 hours per week across night shifts, supporting RNs and LPNs to deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced unit.

No prior experience is required as Mercy offers comprehensive training, including an apprenticeship-style program and BLS certification within the first month. Eligibility for career growth into a PCT role is highlighted.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, CNA/CPTC, or enrollment in healthcare programs.
• No prior experience required — we provide full training!
• Physical ability to lift/push 50 lbs, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform physical patient care tasks
• Preferred: CNA certification

Responsibilities

• Take and document vital signs in electronic medical records
• Assist patients with meals, bathing, toileting, mobility, and transport
• Provide clerical support as needed
• PCA duties plus: Phlebotomy & blood cultures; Enteral feeding, wound care; IV and Foley catheter removal; Trach care and suctioning
