Job summary

Mayo Clinic is hiring Patient Care Assistants (PCA) to work alongside registered nurses and healthcare teams, delivering compassionate patient care through a structured training program. You will learn to support daily living activities, monitor patients, and document health information in the EHR.

No prior healthcare experience is required for the comprehensive full-time training, with ongoing guidance from experienced staff and opportunities to grow within Mayo Clinic facilities.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ and able to read, write, communicate, and understand English.
• 12 college credits OR High school diploma/GED with CNA training.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living, including hygiene, mobility, nutrition support, and comfort needs.
• Obtain and document vital signs, intake and output, and other patient information in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Support a safe patient care environment through adherence to established safety practices and protocols.
• Communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team to support care delivery.
